Remember Christ says that because they hated me they will also hate you. We as followers of Christ will be persecuted it is what we do in reaction to the persecution that God will judge. Hang in there.

I am so very sorry to hear what is being said about HH. I have gotten to spend time with several families from HH, and I have seen nothing but love and Godly character among my friends in your community. In fact, I was just there last week at the diner with my fiance, Laura, and the people who were working that day started calling different friends of ours from the community. People started showing up to say hi and talk to us even though it was pouring rain outside! Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think that is how people act in cults. Moreover, I wrote a paper this past semester comparing your community to two other contemporary Christian communities, and you guys were the most welcoming, helpful, and open of the three by far. I have continually been impressed by your willingness to talk with non-members about sensitive/difficult topics, and by your hearts and love. Again, I am so sorry to hear what is being said about you, and I will continue to tell people of your faith and life. See you soon!

I'm a spiritual person but not religious and I've loved you from the moment I first visited. I always tell my family that I would live with you if I didn't have them. You have been slandered and have every right to sue Brett Shipp and Channel 8 but you won't because of your forgiveness of troubled, flawed humans. Can't wait for weaving class in June!

I was not a member of Homestead Heritage. In 2007 I started visiting on a regular basis and attended Friday night prayer meetings and other events. I hoped to someday become a member, but after three years decided not to. My decision was based on many factors but at no time did I ever feel that Homestead Heritage was a cult or anything other than a loving community striving their hardest to be God's children. It was very hard...emotional ...to realize that I would not have the close relationship with the many people that I had come to love that I would have if I had become a member. I still am in touch with many of them and still have a relationship. I stopped visiting almost two years ago and I admit that it is very hard to make that decision but it in no way is a reflection on the community. To see what my friends are being accused of in the media is disgusting. My experience was always one of loving people who reached out in love to me. If the lifestyle is not for you or you can't live up to the expectations that is on you the individual, not these people. Get on with your life and let these people live their's as they choose.

I was never an actual member, because I chose to never fully join. But I was raised in this, and was deeply immersed in the movement for years as an adult as well. I chose to live another life in another place, because my beliefs were not the same in all things. Actually, in Christian doctrine, I hold some deeply fundamental differences as a fellow believer. I say all that to make clear, I have no agenda in saying what I have to say here. Our differences were great enough that I might remain silent. But I cannot! I find it terribly disconcerting to see how terribly malicious people can be to those they once loved, and were loved by. There is no doubt that the charity extended by most people within this movement to each other and others is real, deep, and makes for family bonds where there was once no common blood. My family and I were treated with tremendous love, and although I feel I could call some on some mistakes, who has not made some of those? This media blitz is a vicious, lying smear campaign. I am truly impressed with the clarity and undeniable rebuttal in this piece. I stand 100% with the things presented in the video, I think you all did an excellent job, offering JUST the simple facts. You did NOT embellish at all. By nature, anyone under such an onslaught of attacks might exagerate, or attack their detractors to discredit and harm them in return. Honestly, I thought in such a long video, I would see some things I disagreed with. Not so. This is a factual presentation, you have represented the Spirit of Christ and forgiveness, in the face of barbaric and unrelenting hatred... and flagrent lies. I STAND WITH YOU. I admire the compassion you have represented here, and I am proud to say you are my family, and friends. Shame on those who will not remember the good in their pasts, because of the bad in their present.

The video is excellent. It moves at a pace that makes it easy to understand, and I am very thankful for all the effort put into it.

This video is so touching. I grew up in this community. Even though I am no longer there, I can say I love everyone who is still a part. Such loving, caring people!

This video is absolutely wonderful, I could not help but cry as I watched it, and I truly hope people will see all the lies through watching this, and that in the end truth will ultimately prevail, I love this place!! even though I am no longer there.
