September 7, 2011, 6:00pm newscast

Announcer: “A member of a well-known religious community in central Texas is behind bars after he turned himself in and admitted that he sexually abused a ******* year old little ***** over two and a half years. Thirty-one-year-old Richard Santa Maria is still in the McLennan County jail, charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child. According to an affidavit in late July, he went to the McLennan County Sheriff’s office and told deputies about the ongoing abuse. He was charged the next day. The alleged abuse happened over a period of two and a half years at his home on Ross Road, which is just a few miles away from the Heritage Ministries church. A deputy at the McLennan County Sheriff’s office says that Santa Maria was a member of the Homestead Heritage group.”
